What was the pain point?
Problem
Many organizations face low levels of employee motivation and emotional connection to their workplace. Employees often complete tasks without a sense of ownership or alignment with the company’s mission, leading to disengagement and weak team cohesion.

Solution
It includes tools to recognize accomplishments, foster healthy competition, and
reinforce positive behaviours. A key feature is an internal currency system that allows employees to earn points and redeem them in a company-branded store for merchandise and exclusive experiences — creating a tangible link between contribution and reward, while reinforcing a sense of belonging and shared purpose.
What's the problem?
Research
After initial discussions with stakeholders, I developed a research plan to validate the problem space and ensure our proposed solution aligned with both user needs and business goals. The research was designed to confirm whether the identified challenge was real, relevant, and worth solving at this stage of the product development process.
Who are we designing for?
Personas
Based on the insights gathered during the research phase, I developed user personas that reflected key behavioural patterns, motivations, and pain points. These personas served as a foundation for design decisions and were actively referenced throughout different stages of the process. Additionally, they became a valuable tool for aligning the team and communicating user needs clearly to stakeholders.

Goals
User Goals
• Access motivating rewards
• Get more valuable benefits
• Feel recognized and important
• Track personal and team progress
• Understand how to grow within the company
• Create a positive, goal-oriented workplace culture
• Enable personalized growth and recognition paths
• Make employee progress visible across the organization
Business Goals
• Increase employee motivation to work
• Increase employee engagement and retention
• Establish continuous feedback loops
• Increase productivity of company
• Foster a performance-driven culture
• Improve internal communication and morale
• Streamline HR reporting

Is it usable?
After developing mid-fidelity wireframes, I conducted usability testing to validate the clarity and effectiveness of the user flows. The goal was to ensure that the interface was intuitive and that users could complete key tasks without confusion. The insights gathered informed further iterations before moving into high-fidelity design.

How does it look?
Final Design
After synthesizing findings from both the research and usability testing phases, I translated the insights into final high-fidelity designs. These designs directly addressed user pain points and incorporated validated patterns to ensure a smooth and engaging experience.

What's next?
Future Features
Although the current iteration of the product addressed key user needs and design challenges, this is not the end of the journey. Based on insights gathered from research and usability testing, several features have been identified for future implementation to enhance the overall user experience and support evolving business goals.
These upcoming features are prioritized based on user feedback, technical feasibility, and alignment with stakeholder objectives. Ongoing validation and iterative testing will ensure these additions continue to meet user needs and expectations.
